Orienteering is the sport of navigation, using a highly detailed map. Whether you’re a dedicated hiker, competitive runner, or just a family or group out for an activity in a park, this sport helps you improve your navigation and spend a few hours in the woods at the same time. Come learn a new skill and have some fun in the forests of Western PA!
This class will provide an introduction to fundamentals of compass use and map reading and expectations at an orienteering course. Students will be provided with an appropriate compass and lanyard.
Two (2) sessions, Monday and Sunday evenings.
Class size limited to ten (10).
