Pen Turning OR Handle Turning (21SG)

This is a beginner class designed to teach the student the basics of wood turning on a lathe and to turn a pen blank into a usable pen to take home, OR turn handles for a bartender’s tool set. In this class the student will learn about wood lathes, how to use a wood lathe, safety, basic tool and turning principles and finally how to turn two pen kits, OR handles for a bar tool set. Various types of wood will be provided for the student to choose from and all tools and equipment will be provided. Tools for the bar tool set made are, bottle opener, double jigger, muddler, bar spoon, and a cocktail strainer.

Two (2) sessions, Monday mornings or evenings.
Class size limited to five (5).
