Forged Pruning Knife/Bottle Opener (22FL)-Cancelled

This class is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Each student will hand forge a pruning knife, and hot punch a hole into steel and forge it into a bottle opener on the handle of the knife. We will also go over the heat-treating process and grinding. You will make a really cool tool for the garden or everyday carry.

This class is taught by Andrew Takach. On the popular TV show, Forged in Fire (season 4, episode 13), Andrew competed and ultimately won with his Shamshir sword. Several photos of his work have been published in books and magazines, including Knives Annual, Knife World, and Blade magazine.
