First Year Beekeeping (18SG)
Beekeeping is all the buzz and instructor Scott Benack takes a moderate approach to help the first-year beekeeper get acquainted with the preparations and pitfalls of establishing a healthy bee colony. Learn the fascinating history of beekeeping and honey bee biology along with how-to’s for site selection and adapting to the timeline of care. Also included is a hands-on frame building activity and how to prepare the box for the bees to draw comb.
Mr. Benack is a licensed nuc seller and queen breeder, a live removal expert, and currently serves a local organic farm in yearly pollination efforts.
