This class is for the student who wants to learn basic automobile maintenance. It will include demonstrations on how to change brakes, tires and oil on an automobile, and how to diagnose engine problems. Instructors will review automotive operations and common repair techniques. Students will become familiar with the basics of preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and the operational systems of the automobile. Other topics include using different types of paints and primers, and how to apply new epoxy products for gluing plastic. Painting techniques, including clear coating, will be covered.
