Each student will learn to forge their own tongs and make a set of their own to use in their shop. This class is taught by Andrew Takach. Starting with the basics, learn the how’s and why’s of small gas engines, two ( 2 ) and four ( 4 ) cycle engines, and air-cooled overhead valve small engines. During the hands-on portion, you will be able to bring in your own equipment, troubleshoot and repair it to your satisfaction. The instructor will oversee and guide you in your work. Other skills covered will be hand and machine sewing, antique restoration, chair reupholstering, boat covers, tarps and more.
