Pen Turning (24SG)

This is a beginner’s class designed to teach the student the basics of wood turning on a lathe and to turn a pen blank that will be assembled into a usable pen. In this class the student will learn about wood lathes, how to use a wood lathe, safety, basic tool and turning principles and finally how to turn and finish a pen. Various types of wood will be provided for the student to choose from and all tools and equipment will be provided. Each student will complete and take home a pen and a mechanical pencil that they have created.

Two ( 2 ) sessions, Monday evenings.
