Each student will forge a 4” bladed hunter /everyday carry style knife, heat treat, grind, and fit a handle on them. This class is taught by Andrew Takach. On the popular TV show, Forged in Fire (season 4, episode 13), Andrew competed and ultimately won with his Shamshir sword. Intro to Photography (25SG)

Take your photography skills beyond just point and click! This class will provide an introduction to fundamentals of photography including the effects of aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, composition, ISO and some basic lighting techniques. Students will receive instruction on some intermediate features on an SLR (Single Lens Reflect) camera, but may be able to utilize many course techniques utilizing some smart phone cameras. This course is designed to be one session of classroom instruction and a follow-up field trip session where students will meet collectively to practice their new skills at a local site.
